This design is an arrangement of an imitation of Arita ware made in Meissen, Germany, in a reverse import format and is called a "Meissen copy." The world-famous German Meissen porcelain factory was founded about 100 years after the birth of Arita ware. The exported Arita ware fascinated royalty and aristocracy, and they wanted to make the porcelain themselves, leading to the first successful porcelain production in Europe.
